Entities
An entity in Kick represents a business or financial structure that files it’s own tax return or Schedule C and therefore requires its own bookkeeping records. This could be:
A single business (LLC, S-Corp, Partnership, Sole Proprietorship, etc.).
A separate financial entity for investment properties, trusts, or projects.
Each entity has its own transactions, reports, and accounts, so your financial data remains accurate and organized.
In Kick, you will also see an option to add a Personal Entity. A Personal Entity helps manage overlap between personal and business finances. It ensures expenses or transfers made from personal accounts are tracked and assigned to the correct business entity, keeping your records accurate with less manual work.
